Polimedia Lab relocates

10.Dec.03 - Polimedia Lab is an event of the Geneva03 initiative, designed to provide a space and facilities for media workshop activities, collaborative work and information sharing. The workshop is open to the public.

Journalists, media artists, programmers, activists and documentaries will meet for the next three days to discuss themes around the Information Society, and to share skills focused on participation and contribution to international knowledge sharing. A particular emphasis will be placed on independent media production and alternative methods of information sharing.

On Tuesday, the Polimedia Lab were forced to evacuate the venue originally arranged for the event, due to misunderstandings over housing permissions. After lengthy negotiation with state officials, a new and very suitable venue has been established. With the assistance of representatives from the Green Party, Geneva03 has secured the Palladium concert venue from Wednesday until Friday, and is in the process of converting the space into a workplace.
